Close care for critically ill patients
The Intensive Care Unit at Safecare Clinix & Endoscopy Centre provides close, round-the-clock care for patients with life-threatening illness or recovering from major surgery.
Our High Dependency Unit (HDU) supports patients who need more attention than a general ward but not full intensive care. Every patient is cared for by experienced doctors and critical-care nurses, with quick access to specialists across departments in the same building.
ICU and HDU care is tailored to each patient. Our team explains the care plan and keeps the family contact informed.

Meet our critical-care physician
Dr. Oludare Michael Ajao
An anaesthetist and critical care physician with experience across teaching hospitals and specialist centres.
Dr. Ajao attended Islamic Mission School, Bode, Ibadan, for primary education and Ibadan Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Aperin Oniyere, Ibadan, for secondary school. He went on to study at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
After his house job at University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, he worked briefly with the Oyo State Hospital Management Board in Ikoyi-Ile. In 2006, he returned to UCH for residency in Anaesthesia, leaving in mid-2013.
He then worked at Lily Hospital in Warri for about six and a half years, followed by around five years at Marigold Hospital and Critical Care Centre.
Specialist involvement depends on each patient’s needs and clinical assessment.

Updates
A doctor will speak with the family at least once a day, and sooner if anything changes. Please choose one family member as the main contact.
Visiting
Visiting hours are 2–5 pm. Visitors may be limited to protect patients from infection. The ICU is a controlled area; families may see their loved one at designated times.
What to bring
The patient’s ID, HMO card (if any), a list of current medicines and recent medical records.
Your questions matter
Ask the nurse in charge at any time. We want you to understand the care your loved one is receiving.
